Attended (together with Raluca and a well-behaving Theodor) the world famous Simphony no.5 („Resurrection”) by Gustav Mahler. It was a success, due to its conductor, too: Meïr Minsky. At some points, there were a few musicians from the orchestra who were playing from the hall rather than from the stage, others were playing from the doorway which led to the backstage - Stereo (if not Dolby Stereo) sound avant la lettre, one may say.

- “A symphony must be like the world. It must contain everything.”
- “The point is not to take the world's opinion as a guiding star but to go one's way in life and working unerringly, neither depressed by failure nor seduced by applause.”
- “All that is not perfect down to the smallest detail is doomed to perish.”
- "I beg of you... never assume an inner or an outer pose, never a disguise.”
